House Group Bible Studies
(Sunday nights 6-8 pm)

House groups meet in homes for Bible study, prayer, discipleship, and accountability and are the backbone of our youth ministry. With hundreds of students in the junior and senior high, the house group setting provides the intimacy necessary for students to really know each other.

House groups are divided up by same grade and gender. Each grade goes to a specific home location where all students in that grade (both genders) spend time together before splitting up into same-gender small groups for Bible study.

Why are House Groups so Important?

It's all about relationships! It's hard to form relationships in a large group setting. A house group environment is the place where students can truly be known and will bond with other students on a more personal level. If you are a parent who notices that your child has trouble feeling comfortable at large group church events, you might consider encouraging him or her to attend a house group so that friendships can form which will make going to the large group events more comfortable!

Intimacy in Christ. Students can share how they feel and how they hurt with other students of the same gender and age. In a culture that invests very little in the spiritual development of teenagers, small groups teach students how they play a role in the kingdom of God.

The Great Commission instructs us to "make disciples" of all nations. Jesus had twelve people in whom he invested and spent time. House groups provide this same atmosphere of discipleship that is crucial to the body of Christ.
